Since 2019, a Kansas House Representative has recruited and advocated for the election of specific trustees to Butler Community College's Board of Trustees.  Their platform? Lowering taxes. 

Three of these recruited candidates have successfully been elected to the board, causing disruption to college operations. In the process,  faculty, staff, and administration have been discredited and disrespected, and these trustees have proposed cuts that would cost the institution significant revenue loss. 

Butler Community College needs trustees who understand the economic impact the institution has on Butler County and the role it plays in the communities it serves. How do we do this? We vote for the right candidates on November 4, 2025.
